Since our start in May of 2023

We've created multiple experiences for individuals to come together and connect around fitness. From improving mental health, to helping people get out of their comfort zone and talk to people, to encouraging others to push passed their own mental thresholds, we've gathered countless testimonies of how Ambition Required Run Club has positively impacted lives. We're more than a run club now, we are a community.

MEET THE FOUNDER

BRANDON TURRUBIARTES

I am a certified personal trainer, pickleball coach, and I'd like to think "community builder". I'm very passionate about anything involving movement from running to pickleball to disc golf. Community has always been a large part of my life. I was always the person who wanted to host everyone for parties, grill outs, team meetings, or family gatherings. People are a huge part of my life and always have been, I am extremely blessed to be able to talk to people face to face everyday for a career. I'm not in the sales business, I'm in the people business.

Although I wasn't always who I am now.

Growing up I always struggled with my weight. Being the fat kid was not very fun and left me with some internal traumas I had to work through and still do. One reason I always wanted to host people was because I wanted to be liked, by everyone. It got dramatically worse after high school because I was unmotivated and had no goals. I struggled with binge drinking and binge eating and this road led me to being extremely anxious to the point of physical symptoms. The anxiety had a hold of my life, and what felt like chains around my lungs. It felt like someone was sitting on my chest and I would have to force myself to yawn to be able to take a deep breathe (a sigh of relief). These symptoms carried on for 8ish months. I continued to struggle with the thought of "how long can I last if this is how my life is going to be?"

Good news is, Jesus saves.

I thank God everyday for gifting me an able body that I was able to change my life with. I committed to do 75 Hard and lost 35lbs in 75 days. Running became a large part of my life in this time and I started to gain a passion for it. I realized anyone is able to change their life if they're willing enough.

I then struggled to find community in the fitness I was passionate about so I decided I would make a "run club" and invite some of my friends out to join. Little did I know more people liked running than I thought.
